Part C: MSTD Vietnam 25 Aug - 4 Sep 2012

MSTD is a good eye-opener for our sea cadets and teacher officers alike to experience the workings onboard RSN Vessels, which includes a shorelift (off shore rest & recreation time) after the deployment on ship before going back to Singapore.

The port of call will be at Vietnam. Details as below :

- Depart Da Nang (Vietnam) : 4 Sept 2012 (By Flight)

Part C: IMOS (4-5 June OR 6-7 June)



Two Specialists Course (IMOS MODULE) will be held during June Holidays, 04 June 2012 to 05 June 2012 and 06 June 2012 to 07 June 2012. All cadets who have attended IMOS (Sea) Module will attend the Specialist Course (Land Module) from the 19 June 2012 to 21 June 2012. 

The cadets will be reporting in No. 3 uniform with head-dress and a proper haircut. They are expected to maintain a high level of turn out and bearing for the duration of the course.


The RSN-NCC Specialist Seamanship Course Training Manual (Revised: January 2004) MUST BE BROUGHT ALONG BY EVERY PARTICIPANT. Failure to comply with this will result in the cadets being put Out Of Course.

Transport will be provided by HQ as follows at the bus stop beside Tanah Merah MRT Station, on the side towards Changi:

Cadets are reminded NOT to bring valuables or expensive items. HQ NCC will not be responsible for the loss of cadets’ valuables or expensive items. Course participants are advised not to bring large sums of money and valuables including mobile phone. Cadets are also reminded not to bring handphones with image capturing features or media storage devices into the camp. Failing to do so they may not be allowed into camp.


Cadets are required to have:

a.         Their corporal rank sewn on.
b.         Writing materials, paper cutter and masking or insulation tape.
c.         A length of rope of 1.5m and about 8-10mm in diameter.
d)        Bus pass.

Cadets who meet the requirement for the RSN-NCC badge will also be awarded the Sea Proficiency Badge upon successful completion of the course.

Part C: Land Spec Course (19-21 June 2012)

AIM:
To allow Cadet Leaders (Part Cs) to enhance their instructional abilities in organising, conducting and executing Individual Field Craft, Technical Handling of SAR 21 Weapon and Physical Fitness to attain the ARMY-NCC Badge so as to contribute what they have learned and experienced to the school units.  

Please note that you will be tested on the above-mentioned items. Hence, please read up from the notes that were issued to you in Term 1. 

LOCATION/ REPORTING / DEPARTURE TIME:

Duration: 19-21 June 2012 (non-residential)
Report at 0730 hrs as follow:
  • Day 1 & 2 – To Multi purpose Hall at NCC Campus
  • Day 3 – To Singapore Discovery Centre Carpark which is walking distance fromJoo Koon MRT station.
The course is expected to end at approximately 1800 hrs on each day.

Please note that cadets are to make personal transport arrangement.

TURNOUT & DISCIPLINE:

Cadets must report in their No.4 uniform with beret.  T-Shirt is to be brought along for the physical training.

Cadets are reminded NOT to bring alog valuable items and camera handphones. NCC HQ will not be responsible for any loss or theft cases 


All male Cadet Officers and Cadet Leaders are reminded to spot a neat haircut, failing which they will not be permitted into NCC Campus.  Female Cadet Officers and Cadet Leaders are to bring along their black hairnets.



Late-comers without a valid reason will not be entertained after 0800 hrs on each day of the course.  Day-off will not be granted to any course participant except on compassionate ground.



All course participants are reminded that they are to be at their best behavior at all times.

 

Part C: AKE (10 - 13 June 2012)


Congratulations to Part Cs who have made it through to the prestigious Annual Kayaking Expedition 2012.

HQ NCC (Sea) will be conducting the 38th Annual Kayaking Expedition (AKE) from 10 June to 13 June 2012.


Please note that cadets are to make personal transport arrangement.
All cadets are required to report at Sembawang Sea Training Centre at 1500hrs on 10 June (Sunday) for in processing, briefing and preparations.
The overnight rest area will be at Sembawang Camp for 10 June and on 12 June, and at Pasir Ris Camp on 11 June. 

Cadets will be dismissed at Sembawang Sea Training Centre by 1600hrs on 13 June 2012.

The participants are required to have a proper haircut for the AKE.


Rations and accommodation arrangements have been indented for the cadets attending this AKE. Only MCs and no letters of explanation/reasons of any sort will be accepted from the cadets should they fail to attend this event.

iii.           One extra set of dry clothing, towel and toiletries (compulsory) packed in double ziplock bag (this is to be carried with them on the 1st day of kayaking to Pasir Ris)

      1.5 litre water bottle (filled with water or isotonic drinks)

      Energy Bar, Energy gel (optional)

v.              Medications (sea-sick pills, Panadol, if necessary)

Junior Cadets: Survival Programme

Good Day Junior Cadets,

This posting serves as a reminder about tomorrow's event.

Please report to the school front porch at 2:45pm.

The attire will be smart 4 uniform with beret.

Those who have yet to submit your consent forms, please do so by tomorrow.

The activity will end at 5:30pm and there will be transport back to school.

As you will be going into a army camp (HQ NCC), you are not to bring camera handphones.

You can lock your camera handphones in the MacBook Cabinet in the NCC Log Room.
